Digital Input set up was created by JS2295
Hi, I'm Using a CPS-MG341-ADSC1 M2M gateway and i have connected externally powered sensors based on the reference manual provided and have written task to read off those sensors. However the gateway doesn't seem to be reading the Sensor inputs. So am i correct to say that the ACOM port of the Gateway is connected to ground? if so why is the gateway unable to read the sensor inputs?

Hello, please confirm the variant of CPS-MG341-ADSC1 model you are using:
- CPS-MG341-ADSC1-111
- CPS-MG341-ADSC1-931
The function of each port varies for the two variant and connection method differs. The model variant can be identified by the label at the back of device.

For CPS-MG341-ADSC1-111, DI_ACOM is not used.

Therefore your Sensor signal should be connected to DI0 and Sensor 0V connected to DI_BCOM.

For CPS-MG341-ADSC1-931, DI_ACOM is the common for Digital input.

Therefore your Sensor signal should be connected to DI0 and Sensor 24V connected to DI_ACOM

For most digital sensor, there are three connections.
Brown / Red connect to 12V power source
Blue / Black connect to 0V power source
Signal output connect to DI0

DI_ACOM to 12V power source since you mention it being a 12V Sensor.

If you have an additional ground cable from sensor, it should go to GND of your sensor power source.

You do not need additional ground for digital input.
